OILING OUT FOR BLENDING

After the first mayer of paint your clouds may look a little rough and that is fine if you want that look.

You can get a smoother look by adding a thin layer of oil then using the same colors as the first layer you can blend the second layer into the oil, which will make the a rough form look smooth and soft.

On the left: first layer of clouds.
On the right: half of the painting receives a layer of oil and then the original colors are blended into the oil to make it look smooth and soft.
